I’m a low paid worker and don’t pay tax – will I get tax relief paid into my pension pot?

This depends on whether your employer set up your workplace pension using the ‘relief at source’ method (where your contributions are deducted from your wages after tax), or the ‘net pay arrangement’ method (whereyour contributions are deducted before tax). If your employer has used the relief at source method, you’ll get tax relief on your pension pot regardless of whether you pay tax. This is subject to you meeting all the conditions for tax relief to be granted. If your employer uses the net pay arrangement method, you won’t be able to benefit from tax relief.
