Each time you work for your employer, they should automatically enrol you if you meet the eligibility criteria, and a joiner pack will be sent to you. This will provide the details on how to opt out of the scheme should you wish to do so. The joiner pack gives you details of our online opt-out service. Please note that your employer might postpone the date you’ll be put into a workplace pension for a period of up to three months and if so:
- If your contract of employment ends before the end of the postponement period, your employer doesn’t have to automatically enrol you at the end of your contract. However you can contact your employer and ask to join the scheme during this period.
- If you’re re-employed, your employer can use postponement again, but only if any previous postponement period has finished.
