What’s The People’s Pension?

The People’s Pension is a multi-employer, defined contribution occupational pension scheme that’s sometimes known as a master trust. Your employer is one of many who use it as their workplace pension scheme.

It’s run by B&CE, a not-for-profit organisation. With no shareholders, any surpluses made by B&CE are used for the benefit of members.

The People’s Pension has more than 4.5m members, making it one of the UK’s largest private sector auto-enrolment pension schemes.

It was also granted master trust authorisation in August 2019. This means The People’s Pension is recognised and approved by The Pensions Regulator as a master trust that’s properly run and governed in the best interest of its members.
