What’s my National Insurance number (NINO)?

Your NINO is made up of letters and numbers and never changes. It was given to you by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) – you can find it on your payslip/P60, or on letters about tax, pensions and benefits you’ve received from HMRC, the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) or other government departments.

Visit www.gov.uk/national-insurance/your-national-insurance-number for more information.
