You can update your address, telephone number, mobile number and email address in your Online Account. If you haven’t set up your Online Account yet, it’s quick and easy to do. Login in or set up your Online Account now.
What details can’t be updated online?
For security reasons, you’re unable to update your:
- Full name
- National Insurance number
- Date of birth
To update these details, we’ll need you to contact us with a copy of a document that confirms your identity. Take a look at ‘list A’ in our confirming your identity leaflet for examples of what you can send us.
If you would like to update your National Insurance number, we’ll need you to send us written communication (eg a letter) from HMRC that includes your National Insurance number.
You can scan and send a copy to us at email@example.com, though please note this isn’t considered a secure way of sending us your information. You can also send this to us by post at FREEPOST B&CE.
