Why has my fund gone down?

Fund values aren’t guaranteed and can go down as well as up. Your money is invested in unit-linked funds which means they’re directly affected by movements in stock markets – when the markets rise, your fund value is likely to go up, however, when the market goes down, your fund value is likely to go down.

Your pension pot is invested in this way because in the long term it usually gives a better return than a savings account.

If you’d like, you can choose a different 15-year investment profile, or the self-select option (where you can choose your own investment allocation across all our investment funds) in your Online Account.
