What’s an eligible jobholder?

An eligible jobholder is an employee who must be automatically enrolled and is:

– aged 22 to State Pension age (SPA) and
– earns above the earnings trigger for automatic enrolment (currently £10,000 a year/£833 a month/£192 a week – 2018/2019 tax year) and
– working or ordinarily working in the UK.

You must put these employees into a pension scheme and pay money into their pension pots on a regular basis.

Further details are available at The Pensions Regulator website.
