I want my new joiner correspondence sent to my employees via email but I don’t have all of their email addresses, so would they all need to go via post?

No. If the email option was selected at account set up, employee joiner information will be sent via email providing there’s an email address supplied on the file.

If an email address is not supplied for an employee, they’ll have their joiner information sent to them by post. The account set-up information can be viewed in the My Accounts section of Online Services.
