What to expect from your workplace pension

You’ve probably received a letter or email saying that your employer has chosen The People’s Pension as your company’s workplace pension scheme. This is a good thing – the benefit of a workplace pension is that your employer pays contributions into your pension too.

At The People’s Pension we have a wealth of experience managing workplace pensions. Our team understands how these things work.

Your employer will let you know if you’re going to be automatically enrolled into The People’s Pension. Even if you’re not automatically enrolled, you may still join The People’s Pension if you want to.

Look out for your joining information

We’ll send you all the details you need to keep track of your pension.

Keep a look out for this information because it will tell you how to set up your online account. This is a great way to see how much you’ve saved and how much money you can expect back when you retire.

You can also take a look around this website to get some more information before you hear from us.

Opting out

After you’ve been enrolled in The People’s Pension you can leave at any time if you want to (but you can lose money). Think carefully before opting out.

Important: Your employer can’t make you stay if you don’t want to. But if you go, you’ll miss out on money towards your pension from both your employer and the government.
