There are certain minimum requirements that workplace pensions must meet in order to be classed as a qualifying scheme. At the very least, qualifying schemes must:

How The People's Pension complies |
Automatically enrol eligible workers |
The People's Pension is specifically designed to make automatic enrolment easy and straightforward. We'll even help you identify who should be enrolled.
Accept those who are not eligible for automatic enrolment, but who wish to join the scheme anyway
Our Employer Assistance program will help you identify who is a non-eligible jobholder and who is an entitled worker, as well as tell you exactly how these employees can opt in or join the scheme.
Allow workers to opt-out if they want to
Your workers must be told they can opt-out of the scheme if they want to and be shown how to do this. We provide all the necessary documentation and take you through the opt-out process step by step.
Make minimum contributions on behalf of eligible workers |
We make collecting and allocating contributions as simple as possible. Contributions can be made by payroll deduction, so reducing your administrative burden.
Not impose any barriers to joining the scheme
The People's Pension is open to all your employees. There are no restrictions on who can join or how much they can contribute subject to minimum contributions. |
